I have to admit, I have a bit of a wig fetish taking over my life at the moment.
I have been purchasing wigs from the US (Las Vegas) for a year now, and now I've moved up from one or two international purchases, to much, much more at a single time!
Last night, I was getting ready for our show at Stonewall Hotel when Cleo Coupe walked in with my order... Eleven wigs from her recent trip to Hong Kong!
I'm not totally at fault, as she did offer to shop for wigs and jewellery for all her friends. She had also said the wigs were $30 AUD each (info she had from her previous trip), which is a sh*t-load cheaper than here in Australia - or anywhere else for that matter!
So how could I resist!? I rattled off a list of things I wanted and waited eagerly..
The reality of having 11 wigs turn up as "yours" in the dressingroom, gave me a wake up call.
In my defense, most of them are doubles (i.e. two of the same styled brown, pink, yellow, caramel, burgundy wigs), plus a single "Liza Minelli" wig. Essentially, it will really only add 6 wigs in the end to my collection.
**Hanging Head In Shame**
I haven't told you all the truth though. I did have a larger order, but it was not able to be filled by Cleo. I feel like I should be attending Wig-a-holics anonymous!
In any case, I think I'll now concentrate on getting more costumes made for the those many new wigs I've purchased. That sounds sensible!
I'll keep you all informed if I fall off the wagon and get another new wig.. Your support would be appreciated! Hehehe..
In the meantime, I'll have to run a 2.5 metre shelf between my two wardrobes to safely store my wigs on their head blocks. Space is rare in a studio apartment, and I'm loosing surface area with each wig I buy, so I need to take some action and to store these wigs safely and efficiently.
Well I'm off to clean up the apartment and do some Japanese study.
Big day tomorrow - Stonewall Hotel Cruise after work. Lots of drunk drag queens on a boat.. One word: SCARY! (And I'll remember it all cos I'll probably be the only one not drinking!) I'll take my camera - I'm sure it will be a hoot!

The week just passed (short version)..
My entry for the last week was just then accidentally deleted by myself as I was about to publish! Damn!
I can't go back and write it all now, so I'll put it down in point form...

- Friday Night - Dusty! Fantastic performance, the two leads were sick, but understudies made it like a new show.
- Saturday - Shopping in Paddington and the City. Witnessed 2 separate accidents - one motorbike, one pedestrian hit by a bus! Scary day!
- Saturday Night - Stonewall Hotel shows went great. DIVA judges were in to watch.
- Sunday - 4th year anniversary for my boyfriend and I.
- Monday - Day job, then caught up with friend in the evening before he heads back to Perth (then to work in LA).
- Tuesday - ANZAC Day - Attended the service in Hyde Park. Window shopping for computers (Thinking of switching to Mac).
- Wednesday - Day job, domestic stuff.
- Thursday - Day job, Grease at the Imperial Hotel. (Mitzi MacIntosh and a DIVA judge came to watch).
That brings you up to date..
Hopefully I won't delete this entry now!

GREASE Poster

Even though it's been in the paper for two weeks, I've only just managed to get the digital version of the advertisment a short time ago.
GREASE is a fantastic show, and our second night last night went well..
Come along and see it for yourselves!
Tonight I'm off to Dusty AGAIN, this time with my good friend Matt (Barbie Q) from Perth. I wonder what it'll be like to watch it a second time... Will tell you all for sure!
In other news this week, my Japanese class went well and, out of no-where, I got a (small) payrise for my day job. The manager said it's been for the good work I've been doing! Yayyy!
Have to be quick today as I have a few things to do before catching up with my friend..
Remember to take care of your family, friends and yourselves!
I hope to see you at the show on Saturday night if you're on Oxford St..

GREASE - THE DRAG SHOW, The Morning After..
Opening night of GREASE - The Drag Show, was on last night! (That of course explains why I've been so quiet online for the last 2 weeks!)
It was so much fun, but so nerve wrecking as well, for me to be playing the major role of Sandy for my first production show at the Imperial Hotel.
Cleo Coupe, the new boss of Thursday nights, created a clever, 2 Act show. It took many hours of preparation to have it on by Opening Night, and we all have taken time off work and lost many hours of sleep to get the show onstage, but it's been well worth it. Cleo has done an amazing job creating, directing and producing this show! Well done honey!
We did run a little late for the shows, which would be expected on an Opening Night, but we were delayed due to the fact some of our costumes were actually fitted and made in-between Act 1 and Act 2!!!
Minus the make-do set of backup dancer costumes for "Beauty School Drop-Out", the show looked great, and we performed it well. The audience response was amazing, so I know when we settle into the show, the audience will like what they see even more!
I am pretty tough on myself, and for this show there is no exception. I would like to play around a little more to get the right mix of character and campness - that will come with some more practice, on and off stage. Feedback on how I've played Sandy has been great, but I know I can do better - so come along and see the development!
I'm working on getting the poster for the show into a digital format so that I can post it on here.. Hope to get it ASAP...
I'm off to the Easter Show with my boyfriend today to have a bit of fun.. It's such a perfect day to be outside..
Have a great Good Friday!

Japanese Graduate
This evening I completed my Beginners course in Japanese.
Hooray!
I received a Certificate from the University of Sydney, and might look at framing it alongside my Bachelor of Arts Degree.. Well until I get the next level's certificate that is!
It's been a quick 10 weeks, and although I don't feel like I've really scratched the surface on what there is to learn, my appetite has now been sufficiently wet, and I want more!
As mentioned previously, I have been learning Japanese for a number of reasons. I hope to keep at the classes so I'm as proficient in Japanese as I am in English! (Those of you laughing - stop right now!)
My lecturer is such a sweet little lady, and she seemed so pleased to hear that I would be coming back to start Level 1 next week. I'm looking forward to it myself!
With the next level's classes 30 mins longer, I expect to be learning a lot more over the next 10 weeks, especially now that I have a grasp of the basics.
With Grease opening at the Imperial Hotel in a little over a week's time, I'll have the chance to get back into proper study each week from then on. Unfortunately the rehearsals for Grease, A Dummer Shade Of Blonde and Rough Trade Hers took their toll.. I haven't been on top of the learning as I would have liked to have been..
That's all in the past though... Here's to another fantastic 10 weeks!
Ja mata ne!

Kissing and Telling..
It was a great time had by all at Stonewall Hotel last night! New outfits, new wigs, our new shows and new faces in the audience.. Everything seemed fresh, shiny and new - that created a buzz in the air!
My good friend Cleo Coupe made sure of that after our 11:30 show, that Charisma Belle and I had a great time too.. She had two double passes to an event at the Hordern Pavillion to giveaway, and said..
Only gay boys know how to really put on a exciting stage kiss! Well done Brad!
I just wish I would have been a little better at my kiss! Worrying about my makeup, and then about what my boyfriend would think had me a bit distracted!
After walking offstage though, all I could think of was that someone was calling my boyfriend right now to tell him they had seen me pashing with some boy. Fortunately, with my boyfriend being a Escort, kissing another boy wouldn't phase him at all. It was strange, however, that I felt like I did something I shouldn't have.. I'll have to do some soul-searching about it I think...
Anyways, it of course was all in fun!
Maybe we should give away prizes more often...!! (LOL)
I must thank again my friend, Abbey Road, for her stunning additions to her already stunning finale costumes! She added on heaps of Swarovski jewels to the pink A Dummer Shade of Blonde costumes, and made a stunning custom "reveal" costume for Voodoo Child, in our second production, Rough Trade Hers.
This reveal costume is hot! It's like a cross between a Las Vegas showgirl and a rock chick.. The combo is amazing! I'll post the costume pics online soon..
Better yet, why not come along and see the show! All you need to remember is: Saturdays @ Stonewall Hotel from 10:30pm!
Well my focus is back onto Grease again!! Can't wait to have everything finished. Our first night will be a hoot! Come along and see our Opening Night at the Imperial Hotel, Erskineville on Thursday 13th April (Good Thursday). We will have 4 shows throughout the night - it's gonna be big!
Be there, or be square..

The first to people up on the stage that KISS Shelley and Charisma get the prize!I was a lucky girl.. A Qantas Flight Attendant "Brad", with handsome good looks and a nice tight gym body got up on stage and not only gave me a kiss, but pashed me, pressed me against the wall, then turned me around and completed the whole sequence with a classic dip!
